A Botanist's Guide to Saigon
Second issue of intheloop, an independent art map project that offers a unique path to hidden gems of Saigon's creative scene. Each issue is illustrated by an emerging artist and printed with risography.
Drawing inspirations from 19th century botanical illustrations, we collaborate with illustrator and plant-enthusiast Tin Tran to reimagine Saigon as a compendium of strange and funky plants. The fusion of imaginary elements with encyclopedic style transforms the geographical depiction into an art map that invites city-explorers to look closer.
